Hidradenitis Suppurativa

What is Hidradenitis Suppurativa?
Hidradenitis Suppurativa is a chronic, recurrent infection of the skin. It often causes painful wounds similar to boils which may have a pus-like discharge. Hidradenitis is commonly found in the armpits, groin, between the buttock and under the breasts. The lumps may break open causing a smell or tunnels under the skin.

Treatment Options:
Early treatment is important and can help prevent the disease from worsening. Your surgeon will recommend the best treatment option depending on the severity of your condition. Advanced cases may need surgical removal or complete excision of the diseased tissue.
